Pioneering Fintech since 1997
Modulus serves global fintech and financial institutions with customizable solutions backed by the world's largest privately owned fintech repository, containing millions of lines of proprietary source code refined over three decades in production, now accelerated by AI code workflows.
Who we are
Modulus is an American fintech and software group trusted by some of the most recognizable names in finance, including the Nasdaq Stock Market, J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, UBS, Citi, and BNP Paribas. Founded in 1997, our work reaches millions of end users across more than 100 countries.
The scale is hard to overstate. Solutions we have engineered help process more than 30% of daily U.S. stock-market volume, and a large portion of global capital-markets infrastructure has run on Modulus technology for nearly three decades. We have delivered hundreds of distinct finance solutions to thousands of clients worldwide, including banks, brokerages, exchanges, funds, professional traders, regulators, and others.
Powering all of this is one of the largest financial-technology source-code repositories in the world: millions of lines of production-hardened code, refined across countless global deployments.
What we do
We develop solutions for banks, brokerages, exchanges, wealth and asset managers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, market makers, trading educators, regulators, market data providers, data centers, regulators, and more. From order matching and risk management to market data, analytics, and full trading platforms, hardware & network engineering, and more, we deliver the components and complete systems that firms depend on. Our focus sits at the intersection of fintech, artificial intelligence, and ultra-high-performance computing, combined with strategic consulting and human-centered design.
- Trading platforms and order-matching engines
- Risk management and post-trade surveillance
- Market data, analytics, and back-testing
- Financial libraries in C, C++, C#, Java, and more
- High-performance computing with FPGA and ASIC acceleration
- AI, LLM, and machine-learning systems for the capital markets
Our foundation
Most providers build systems from the ground up, and they connect components that were never designed to work together. Modulus starts from the opposite place. Every solution draws directly on millions of lines of source code we have written, hardened, and maintained for three decades.
That foundation is the difference between guesswork and proven reliability. Because the building blocks are already running in production, we deliver complex financial systems faster than providers starting from a blank page, and without trading reliability. Every project ships with full source code and AI development skills that your team can leverage immediately.

Industry recognition
Modulus has been building financial technology since 1997, with technology used across banks, financial institutions, brokerages, exchanges, payment processors, trading venues, hedge funds, financial technology firms, and government agencies worldwide.
An estimated 30% of daily U.S. stock market volume has been processed through systems using Modulus software. For nearly 20 years, Modulus technology has powered a significant portion of Indian capital market infrastructure, with additional deployments and technology presence across global markets.
Modulus maintains one of the world's largest private financial technology source-code repositories, containing more than 25 million lines of reusable, highly documented, and well-maintained source code. That repository gives Modulus a foundation most vendors cannot replicate and gives modern engineering teams a practical advantage when using AI-assisted development workflows.
Modulus clients and technology users have included The Nasdaq Stock Market, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Fidelity, Questrade, Zerodha, Investopedia, TradeStation, cTrader, eToro, brokerages, exchanges, market-data providers, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and thousands of other organizations.
Modulus technology is also used by prominent proprietary trading firms and hedge funds throughout the world.

In 2010, Modulus developed a cloud-based natural language processing system to analyze social media messages for stock price prediction, part of a broader history of applying AI, machine learning, language processing, and large-scale data analysis to financial markets long before AI became a mainstream enterprise trend.
In 2015, NASA used a Modulus high-frequency data and charting solution to process and display large volumes of real-time telemetry and health data from the International Space Station.
Modulus and its leadership have been recognized as subject matter experts in AI and financial software development for more than two decades. Media and industry coverage has included Bloomberg, Reuters, Forbes, International Financial Law Review, S&P Global, CIO Magazine, Nasdaq, Business Insider, CNN, Fox News, The History Channel, Yahoo Finance, Benzinga, The Detroit Free Press, U.S. News and World Report, InformationWeek, ETF Trends, The Business Journals, Asia Times, MoneyWeek, HackerNoon, IB Times, and many other regional and industry publications. Modulus has also provided expert editorial review for technology books published by Wiley & Sons.
Modulus has been awarded patents in financial technology and AI, including advancements related to Large Language Models. Modulus patents and applications have been cited by JPMorgan Chase, Nasdaq, Google, Palantir, Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Salesforce, Alphabet, Oracle, SAP, Cisco, Verizon, Zoom, Intuit, Dell, Yahoo, Truist Bank, Citibank, Wells Fargo, Capital One, PayPal, eBay, Baidu, Hitachi, SAS Institute, IEEE, Box, Dropbox, Spektrum Labs, SLB, Paramount, ServiceNow, Qualtrics, MicroStrategy, and dozens of others.
